Golf Tip - Commit to the Shot

I find that I hit a lot of poor shots when I try to "take a little off" of my swing. I think that if I do that, I will swing slower and hit a softer/shorter shot out into the fairway or into the green. But what usually happens when I do that is a terrible push slice into the woods with a lazy ass swing. After doing this hundreds of times, I have finally learned to always commit to the shot with aggressive contact, but if I want to hit it shorter, I just either choke up on the club, or shorten my swing, or both depending on the type of shot I need to hit. This helps prevent lazy swings and keeps your ball contact more consistent.
